I like how you break up the post into paragraphs and headings. This post is a bit generic and seems to say the same thing over and over. It would help to add links to a articles that support what you’re saying. Work writing more personally and conversationally.

I can’t tell you how bad I want to adopt/buy a dog! I was reading another blog that also talked about the Humane Society and the both of ya’ll write really well about the animals and the way people and animals can help each other. You blog is making me want to go right now to the Humane Society! I liked how easy to read your blog was; the different sections really do make a difference. I can’t wait to read more!
